3 Piece Revival is one of Cincinnati’s most talented, entertaining and unique cover bands. What started off as a fun “side project” for members of two of the region’s biggest bands turned into a full-time project for both, a project that has taken the area and local music lovers by storm!

Our Story:

Guitarist Sean McGary was playing with the Naked Karate Girls, but he was also doing acoustic shows with a couple of friends. The "side-project" quickly gained in popularity. The trio started doing more shows and the gigs got bigger and better.

The trio started playing weekly shows, and their chemistry was undeniable.

Though an acoustic act, their unique, entertaining and high energy shows were drawing larger crowds with each performance. Within a year, the trio was playing festivals, weddings, corporate shows and the largest bars in the region. In 2017, 3PR took their show on the road, playing shows in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Florida, and South Carolina.

After being flown to Quebec City, Canada to perform at a major corporate event, the band decided it was time to make 3 Piece Revival the number one priority. With shows getting bigger and the crowds getting larger, the band decided to add a rhythm section. They recruited Johnny Miracle and Alex Hughes. Johnny and Alex also play with The Noah Hunt Band (from Kenny Wayne Shepherd) with the members in place, 3 Piece Revival’s line up truly boasts some of Cincinnati’s most talented musicians, bar none!

3 Piece Revival is on a mission to take their unique and entertaining show all over the world.

What makes 3 Piece Revival unique?

3 Piece Revival is able to do what most other bands can’t do. They can truly play for any audience, any event, and just about any situation. One of the things 3PR clients love about the band is the fact that they aren’t too loud. Being an acoustic based band has changed the game. The guys realized that they can play acoustic guitars, but with the bass and drums, they can still “rock out” and keep the dance floors packed.  All this, without blaring people away with volume!

3 Piece Revival can play a festival or concert for a few thousand people, and the very next night play a low-key show at an upscale restaurant. The band can play as a 5 piece full band, a duo, a trio, or even a 4 piece.

Don’t let the name fool you!  3 Piece Revival will tailor your show for your event.
